The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.
Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme focuses on construction activities that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main activities fall under the following three categories:
Heron Bros’ project Foyle College and Ebrington Primary School & Nursery, was awarded Most Considerate Site (£10m to <£50m) at Considerate Constructors Scheme’s National Site Awards. Read more here.
We were delighted to also pick up the Runner Up for Most Considerate Site as well as one gold and two bronze awards at the 2018 National Considerate Constructor Scheme awards. We are incredibly proud of our project teams and their dedication to operating our construction sites to such a high standard. Heron Bros is committed to investing in the Considerate Constructors Scheme across our projects and recognise the value it adds to our business and the communities in which we work.
