Retaining the highest possible IIP status, Heron Bros has demonstrated that the company and its people are going above and beyond to ensure their on-going success. This achievement demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to high performance through good people management.
Gill Fairley, Assessor noted:
“HBL continues to be an exemplar in excellence in people management practice but is not complacent and keeps its practices and strategies under constant review…Based upon the wealth of evidence from this assessment, which demonstrates the HBL’s strategies for people and performance are embedded, always improving and achieving tangible business success, I have no hesitation in recommending that HBL continues to hold Investors in People Platinum level accreditation”.
Grainne O’Kane, HR Manager at Heron Bros reflected on the global accolade:
“This prestigious award is only possible due to the valuable work carried out by all Heron staff in all work areas, each and every day. We are all justifiably proud of this award and continue to progress towards the future wholly committed to the values of the founding Heron Brothers. These values continue to underpin the business namely – relationships, forward-thinking and passion. As we move forward in this new decade we aim to enjoy our work, look after the people we work with and be the best we can be in everything we do.”
Commenting on the award, Martin O’Kane, Deputy Group Managing Director at Heron Bros said:
“I am delighted Heron Bros retained the prestigious Investors in People Platinum award. This makes us the first company in Northern Ireland and the first contractor in the UK to retain this global accolade. This Award is a testament to all the hard-working and dedicated people within Heron Bros. Only 0.19% of Investors in People accredited companies have achieved this platinum level, clearly illustrating the level of excellence within the business. Heron Bros is continually monitoring and improving our practices and our recent IIP Platinum score exceeded the high level previously achieved in 2016”.
Martin continued:
“We believe in providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all of our employees and providing a workplace environment that inspires people to enjoy work and to be the best that we can be. Our approach has resulted in a committed workforce that is dedicated to Building the future together.
