The project entailed the construction of a one form entry primary school to accommodate 210 pupils from the primary age range from 4-11 with a 26 place nursery unit.
The project consists of the construction of a new primary school with nursery as part of the development of a new residential area to the east of Corby in a zone known as R8. It will be a single story building set on a site with a natural gradient of approximately 1:30. The new building is for a one-form-entry primary school with nursery facilities. The school fulfils the requirement for an educational facility to support a new development of 970 residential dwellings, located on a designated development site (R8) southeast of Corby Town. The site and school construction are funded as part of the developer planning obligation under a section 106 agreement. The one-form entry primary school will accommodate 210 pupils and a 26 place nursery with a small community provision.
