North West Regional Science Park
The North West Regional Science Park (NWRSP) provides 50,000 square feet over 4 floors of flexible workspace on the banks of the Foyle, on the site of the former army barracks at Fort George.
The new purpose built facilities anchor the work of the Science Park across the North and West of Ireland and cement the cross-border partnership with Letterkenny Institute of Technology and the University of Ulster Magee Campus, Derry.
The NWRSP has its own data centre and will house, among others, specialists in software, telecoms, digital media, health and bioscience, clean tech and television production. The high-tech, super-connected premises provide flexibility for start-ups and companies of any size, ranging from a single ‘hot desk’ to large-scale workspace, as well as meeting spaces, a café, on-site parking and secure cloud data storage.
The NWRSP was officially opened on Tuesday 16th September 2014 by the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland and is set to be the hub for developing future innovation and technology businesses in the North West.
