This £10m residential care home at the time of Construction was the largest in Northern Ireland.
It consisted of a series of single storey traditionally constructed specialist nursing wings to provide small communities, all connected to a circular corridor, providing access to general administration social areas and church facilities.
The specification of the building throughout is designed and constructed to provide a durable long term finish that will require minimal internal repairs and refurbishment over the life of the building.
The building was constructed within a twelve month period on a restricted live site, which involved the necessity to construct an access road purely for construction traffic off the Ravenhill Road.
