The building had load bearing rendered blockwork cavity walls with a timber trussed roof finish and traditional roof tiles. The assembly hall has a steel frame structure.

The contract was completed in 2 phases. On completion of the new building the existing school was decanted into its new premises. The old school was then demolished and the replacement playing fields and car parking constructed.
