The Secure Children’s Home for Durham County Council involves the construction of a new 38 bed secure unit with 5 single-storey house blocks, administration wings, reception area, ancillary service wings and a two-storey education block. In addition it houses a state of the art recreation block with swimming pool.
This project is technologically and logistically complex with a high degree of co-operation between public and private sectors. Heron Bros. Ltd. have demonstrated in their flexible approach, capability, expertise and understanding that is required in this complex re-development programme.
