The extension works were located at the front of the school adjacent to the main entrance and off an extremely congested main road.

The combination of risk factors resulted in the requirement of a strategic plan in the management of access to the school by students, site access and site area and deliveries of construction materials to site in conjunction with the design team and school representatives.

The refurbishment element of the works was also completed during term time with handovers of each section of the works coinciding with the completion of commencement of student term time.
