Heron Bros has been shortlisted for ‘Platinum Employer of the Year’ (50 – 249 employees) at the prestigious Investors in People Awards.

The Awards celebrate the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses. Winners will be announced at a spectacular awards ceremony and dinner at Old Billingsgate, London, on 23 November 2017. Finalists represent the best of the best worldwide.

In December 2016, Heron Bros, became the first organisation from any sector in Northern Ireland and first construction company throughout the entire UK to be awarded with Investors in People Platinum accreditation.

In achieving the highest possible IIP status, Heron Bros demonstrated that the company and its people are going above and beyond to ensure their on-going success. This achievement proved the organisation’s commitment to high performance through good people management.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.
