Omagh Leisure Complex

From inception the design and construction of Omagh Leisure Complex has been completely transformed, seamlessly combining the old and new elements of the project based on a number of key elements and concepts to provide a welcoming and efficient leisure facility. The successful adoption of key constraints from the original form was addressed during the design stage to overcome issues relating to the complex layout, multiple level changes, access difficulties and lack of natural light.

The completion of the project has been commended by the wider community commenting that Omagh Leisure Complex is,

“…an excellent facility of the highest standard…[with] new dedicated pools for small children and learners, as well as the main swimming pool, meaning that the needs of different users will be very well catered for.”

Not only is the transformation of the aquatic facilities outstanding, but also the presence of the re-energised gym, health suite and halls has provided the community with a flagship development that is, “…bigger and better than ever, in a facility of which everyone, council, staff and residents, can be extremely proud.” With this in mind the launch of the state of the art Omagh Leisure Complex has been recognised to offer an excellent range of facilities to cater for the residents of Omagh and surrounding areas, providing first rate opportunities for physical activity and community interaction.

As a core feature within Omagh, the leisure complex has several new multi-purpose areas ideal for private hire, concerts or conferencing to link in with local businesses within the surrounding area. In addition, the newly renovated hall’s incorporates an advanced sound system providing an ideal location for concerts and musical events with seating capacity upwards of 1,500 enabling the complex to compliment other venues within the vicinity unable to accommodate this seating capacity.

Furthermore, the outdoor facilities such as the 3G pitch, running track, outdoor pitches and Bowling Green facilitates activities right across the spectrum giving local clubs opportunities to use the vast array of services on offer at the complex.
